2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport

The Discovery Sport is a versatile compact SUV that demonstrates the breadth of Land Rover ability, offering customers unrivalled all-terrain capability, versatility for up to seven people and a premium interior.

Every seat benefits from changes to the seat foam composition making every occupant more comfortable. All powered seats are upgraded to include four-way lumbar support ensuring long journeys can be tackled without discomfort, with 12-way configuration available as a customer option.

For 2018, a number of enhancements are made, the most significant is the addition of two new available Ingenium gas four cylinder engines that replace the previous single output GTDi gas engine. A 237-horsepower Ingenium gas engine paired to a ZF 9-speed automatic transmission generates 251 lb.-ft. of torque and is standard in all body styles of the Land Rover Discovery Sport.

A higher output 286-hp Ingenium gas engine, available on HSE and HSE Luxury trims only, generates 295 lb.-ft. of torque, helping to accelerate the Discovery Sport from 0-62 mph in 6.7 seconds.

When the new high-powered engine is selected, customers benefit from a number of interior and exterior dynamic styling enhancements. Outside, dynamic changes include a unique front bumper with larger air intakes to improve engine cooling and give a more purposeful look; a gloss black front grille and side vents; chrome tailpipe finisher; red "Sport" badge; and 20-inch gloss black five split-spoke 'Style 511' alloy wheels.

Inside, the dynamic interior kit includes new dynamic Windsor Leather seats with contrast micro-piping and the choice of three available colorways: Ebony/Pimento, Ebony/Cirrus, or Cirrus/Ebony; dynamic steering wheel and carpet mats; Triton-grain trim finishers and door inserts; silver sport pedals and the choice of dark grey or carmine red aluminum center side rails dependent on interior trim finishes.
